The Mexican fan palm slender and faster growing to nearly 34m, the upper part dense with brown dead and living glossy bright green foliage, the plaited fan leaves are stiff.

Lightly cut to 1.5m long and with some fibrous threads in juvenile stage, fruit black brown, rarely used as a container plant; planted in warm arid climate along avenues and homes for tropical effect in not quite tropical region. Older tall specimens look scrawny, with relatively small crown up high.

Uses: It is used in landscaping, decorative plant in hotels and office premises.

Fertilizer: Give the plants NPK or Organic manure in 15 days.
