Bougainvillea has thorny stems and heart shape leaves the bract are long-lasting and outshine the plants tiny true flower. The bract are modified leaves that are the striking purple of the plant. Bougainvillea can grow up to 40 feet tall with support. Bougainvillea is native of South America.

USES: It is an ideal decorative flowering plant for kind scraping at full sun well drained soil and warm temperature and also can be grown pot plant. Bougainvillea need least six hours of direct sunlight.

Soil : Well drained acidic soil pH 5.5 to 6
Sandy or loamy soil is ideal
Avoid soil that is constantly wet as this can cause root rot.
Temperature Range: 30ᵒc to 48ᵒc
Humidity Range : 50% TO 100%
Shade Level : Full Sun light

Watering: pH 6.5 to 7 / TDS: 100 TO 150. Water after planting and then weekly once until the plant is established. Once it’s established checked the moisture level in your pot or garden and apply the water accordingly. Avoid excess water

Fertilizer: Give the plant N.P.K 20:20:20 OR 14-14-14 – 2 gm Per liter once in 15 days. Bougainvillea is ideal to make topiary and bonsai.
